Privacy
In short: we store what is needed for you to sign in and see your results. Selfies, photos and drawings exist only while a game is being played.
This is a plain-language summary of how the game currently works. It is not a legally complete privacy policy.
What we store in the database
- Account: your e-mail address, the name other players see, a password hash (the password itself is not stored) and the time the account was created.
- Game results: which game was played, the room code, start and end time, and each player’s score and place. Your statistics — games, wins, points — are calculated from these.
- Problem reports: if you press “?” in the game and send a message, we store your name, the message text, the screen you were on, your browser’s user-agent string and the time.
What is not saved
- Selfies and round photos exist only in the server’s memory while the room exists. They are not written to the database or to files. Only members of the same room can see them.
- Drawings are sent as lines and exist only during the game.
- Answers and votes in rounds live in the server’s memory until the game ends; only the final result is saved.
A room is deleted once all players have been offline for ten minutes, or when nothing has happened in it for two hours. Its photos disappear with it.
What stays on your phone
- A session cookie, so you do not have to type your password every time. It is valid for 30 days and is used only for signing in.
- Your selfie is kept in the browser’s storage on your phone, so you do not have to retake it for the next game.
Technical log
To be able to track down bugs, the server records technical events: connecting and disconnecting, error messages, and the fact that a selfie was taken (its size only, not the image). These entries contain the player’s name.
What there is none of
- This website has no ads and no third-party tracking scripts. The fonts are loaded from this same server.
- The game does not send e-mails. Your address is used only for signing in.
- There are no payments, so no payment data is stored.
Deleting your account, and questions
An administrator can delete an account together with its results. For now this happens on request: contact the person who gave you the invite code. A forgotten password can be replaced the same way.
